Michael Chu

Chief Operating Officer

A native Texan, Michael graduated from the Professional Program of Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School in 2001 with both a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master’s of Science in Accounting – Tax Consulting/Financial Planning track.  Michael joined Black Mountain Disposal in August 2013 as Sales and Operations Director and was tasked with taking the business concept from idea on paper to building the business and brand.  In October 2014, Michael’s roles and responsibilities were expanded as he became the Chief Operating Officer. 

Prior to Black Mountain Disposal, Michael worked for Select Energy Services (2010-2013), Boehringer Ingelheim (2004-2010), and Ford Motor Company (1997-2004).  At Select Energy, Michael started as a Regional Analyst for the East Texas/North Louisiana Region and was promoted to Assistant Area Manager in the Bakken Region and finally as Manager of Support Services – Operations.  At Boehringer, Michael both managed and developed new business accounts, routinely surpassing national market penetration for all products represented.  At Ford, Michael was recognized as one of the top customer service representatives for the Ford Customer Service Division having managed both the entire state of Oklahoma as well as West Houston.

Outside of work, Michael is happily married and father to two boys.  Michael enjoys traveling with his family both domestically and internationally; exploring new culinary finds; playing an occasional round of golf with family and friends; and reading.
